  • Create badges that students earn for example when a lesson is complete, they've passed an assessment, or subscribed to an upcoming event you're hosting
  • This could be a great way to get your students to move along in a course in areas where they seem to get stuck.

 

What do you need to get started?

With the new theme, you have the ability to have badges, as many or as few as you’d like.

#1 Determine what action items need to take place for someone to earn a badge. For example:

  • You just finished your first lesson
  • One badge completed for every lesson completed
  • You made your first comment (need to see if this one is possible to trigger)
  • You completed an assessment or quiz
  • You clicked a link in an email
  • You signed up for a private one-on-one session or some other offer
  • You finished the whole course
  • You turned in a homework assignment

 

#2 Decide what icons you would like to represent these badges. For example, different shapes, colors or an idea that will represent a visual for the challenge needed to earn the particular badge.

 

#3 What kind of statement would you like to make once the badge is earned? For example, “You’re amazing! You just earned a new badge.”
