You have $1M trapped inside your head...

Everyone is an expert at something.

Step #1 Dial in what that niche is, who it is that wants to learn from you, and finally what platforms to reach them.
Step #2 Design a marketing strategy to reach that target audience and find out what they want and how they want it.
Step #3 Build a course, group coaching, or mentorship program based on what your audience is telling you they want.

FALSE: All I need is a sales landing page for my online course

Kajabi landing page for online course

This is the most common Kajabi request when just starting an online course. The truth is that you may think that all you need is a sales landing page for your course and not “an entire website” but really, a website is a series of landing pages.

Here is what’s involved in the creation of “just a landing page” for your online course:

  1. Design sections on the landing page for each topic including one section each for testimonials, short bio, benefits of your course and what’s included, social proof, price of your offer and description of bonuses, money back guarantee, FAQ, etc. ordering them in a way that tells a story.
  2. Insert copy into each of these sections.
  3. Bring elements to the page to improve readability with images, headers, changes in typography and adding bullet points.
  4. Add branding elements to the page with logo, colors and font.
  5. The sales page also has to be connected to the ability to “buy now”, so integration of Kajabi with Stripe or PayPal needs to be set up.
  6. To connect the landing page to payment, both an offer and checkout page need to be created. A customer will click on the “buy now” button from your landing page, arrive at a checkout page to enter their credit card, then gain access to your course.
  7. The offer and checkout page needs to be branded with copy, images, logo, colors and font.
  8. Upon entering their credit card information into the checkout page, a student clicks “submit” and then arrives at a purchase confirmation page. That confirmation page needs to be created and branded.
  9. Your course and supporting materials need to be uploaded plus descriptions of each module added.
  10. The course access area (the area the student sees while taking the course) needs to be branded with copy, images, logo, colors and font.
  11. When a student returns to the course after a break, they need to log back in, so the login page needs to be branded as well.
  12. Upon login, the student arrives at their course library page, which needs to be branded with logo, colors and font.
  13. Other considerations are that since you’re collecting emails and providing access to education, you’ll need to provide terms, privacy policy, cookie disclaimer, and possibly other legal documents. Adding these documents means creating more pages.
  14. With more pages, you’ll need a navigation bar designed that lives on the bottom of the page with links to each of the legal documents.
  15. The final step would be connecting your domain name your new Kajabi landing page.

As you’re now understanding, creating “just a landing page” is really creating an entire website. It takes many steps, is carefully designed, and then is tested to ensure each step is set up properly.
